A box of old family photos is a box of identity, memory, and relationships. In this class, we will explore tools to unlock the stories behind our photos and to inspire novel portrayals of family and remembrance. Sharing our creative and artistic process, we will re-create family albums that make us laugh, connect, and understand individual identity, as well as collective pasts and cultural memory.
Class includes weekly assignments, image reviews, discussions of tools and techniques, and developing a final portfolio.
Intermediate level of editing software like Lightroom or Photoshop are required.
This class will be taught online via zoom.
